This is a note of appreciation for Empire Movers. We were uncertain about our moving date because we needed approval of the buyer from the board of our Manhattan co-op and did not want to leave the apartment bare in case it had to go back on the market. Empire was flexible and adjusted the date for us a number of times. When we were ready to go, their crew arrived when promised and packed everything carefully and professionally. Some pieces were being given to a relative in Virginia near DC and the balance to Aiken SC. The Virginia pieces were loaded last so they could be delivered first. Empire made the move as stress-free as possible for us and all was very well done. Pricing was transparent and very reasonable, with no surprises.

CHEATERS!! I went with Empire because I had heard great things and the reviews overall looked good. First, they messed up my move date and then they tried to cheat me out of my dedicated truck. Initially, I went with a shared move but in the end decided to go with a dedicated move instead because I felt more comfortable knowing the truck was dedicated to moving only my items from NY to NC which I paid extra for. However, on the day of the delivery, I learned there had been other items on the truck for another customer that were delivered before I received my items. That my friends is not a dedicated move that is a shared move and a difference of $1000. I tried speaking to the supposed owner Florin but he wanted to gaslight me and proceeded to tell me how unhappy I was and I was just looking for a reason not to pay. Which, by the way, I never said I wouldn't pay for the move but I'm not going to pay an extra $1k for what was supposed to be a dedicated move for it to actually, be a shared move. Ever heard of double dipping, lol. Not to mention while I'm on the phone trying to discuss this with him he is charging my card without reviewing the billing with me. The only good thing that came out of this is both the NYC and NC movers themselves were great and very polite!!
